Lector Writer's &
Performance Art Residency
Live, Visit, Write, Read, be Heard...
Lector offers temporary lodging located a walkable half mile from our stage to all visiting performers.
In addition to this, we provide local and non-local artists a modest residency space to live and create in a two bedroom apartment for up to one month. Selected artists are given the option, and are encouraged, to perform at least once at Lector during their stay.
We welcome artists from across the country and abroad who are otherwise underrepresented, particularly creators within the queer community, women + femme, people of color, GSM, and/or disabled persons with emerging or established careers and a record of creating original work. Due to Tampa's long history as a point of artistic exchange between NYC/Brooklyn and Cuba we are also excited to see such applicants who hail from these regions.
Rolling admissions enable us to accommodate artists at intermittent times throughout the year. Proposals are reviewed periodically and response time is one month.
Interested applicants send proposal and CV to email@example.com
